The MonaVie Founders

MonaVie was recently named as one of the top ranked companies on the INC. 500 list. Earlier this year they were also named one of Utah’s Fast 50. And just based on sales they are clearly one of the most successful companies today, particularly in the network marketing industry. There are many reasons why a company succeeds, including products and business strategies. It is also the people who conceive the idea and grow it into the business. The key founders of MonaVie are Dallin Larsen, Randy Larsen, and Henry Marsh and each contributes to the success of the company.

Dallin Larsen is one of the founders of MonaVie and is also the chairman and CEO. He comes from a very entrepreneurial family, as his family owned several Diet Centers back in the 1980s. Dallin bought his own franchise, using a loan consigned by his father, and soon owned four more. Prior to that he worked his way through college with a shaved ice business he owned with his brother. He credits these early experiences for teaching him business basics like hiring and managing a company.

He later joined another network marketing company and after a slow start helped to bring the company to sales of over one hundred million dollars. He next started a company with his brother Randy and Henry Marsh, called Monarch Health Sciences. This would later become MonaVie.

Randy Larsen is Dallin’s brother and also a cofounder of MonaVie. He has also had a long and varied business career. He has owned retail stores, restaurants, and other small businesses. He owned and operated over fifty health and fitness clinics all over the U.S. He now serves as the Executive Vice President of MonaVie.

Another MonaVie founder is Henry March, who is a former Olympian, having competed in track in four different Olympics. He is also a ten time U.S. champion. He believes his athletic experiences helped prepare him for the business world, as there is nothing that can compare to the stress and pressure of Olympic competition. Since leaving competitive sports he earned a law degree and practiced law for a short time. He was also a sportscaster for a while, worked for Franklin Covey, and wrote a book. Eventually he partnered with Dallin and Randy Larsen to create Monarch and later MonaVie.

Another key person is Ralph E. Carson, who developed the original MonaVie juice blend and now serves as the company’s Science Officer and Vice President of Product Development. He holds several degrees including a PhD in Nutrition from Auburn and several degrees from Duke University. His credits include several presentations on weight loss, eating disorders, obesity, and sports rehabilitation.

When you see the vast variety of experiences that the founders had, it is easy to understand the success of MonaVie. One can imagine how they use their different skills and talents to create and successfully build their company. And this is just the key founders. There are many more talented people on the leadership team as well as the many enthusiastic distributors who contribute to the continued success of MonaVie.
